IBDNAI Committee
Only paid up members of the association are eligible for election to the committee.
A committee will be elected at Annual General Meeting of no less than 8 members (a quorum). The committee will consist of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Education officer and two committee members.
It is proposed that no more than four office bearers change in any given year.

Angela a native of Clonakilty, West Cork. Trained, as a Register General Nurse in the Mercy Hospital, Cork. Where, she worked for 6 years post-graduation. Travelled abroad for over 12 years, working in Australia, Middle East, United Kingdom. Returned to Ireland in 2010, worked in the Mater MiserIcordiae University Hospital, Dublin. Here, she worked in the Gastroenterology Department for 12 years, initially as an Endoscopy nurse, then quickly progressed into the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist CNSp in IBD. Her academic career included completion of her BSc (RCSI), became a Registered Nurse Prescriber (UCD) completed an MSc as ANP (UCD) and is an NMBI registered ANP. Angela is currently, working as an IBD CNS in Cork University Hospital, she joined the IBD team in June 2022. Her interests include compliance to medications, patient’s self-management of IBD. Medical/surgical management of perianal Crohns disease, optimising treatment of complex and challenging IBD patients, working very closely within the multidisciplinary team.
